Product Designer, New Grad at OKX

·

In today’s fast-evolving digital landscape, the intersection of design and technology has never been more critical—especially in the world of cryptocurrency and Web3 innovation. As a Product Designer, New Grad at OKX, you’ll be stepping into a dynamic role that blends creative vision with technical execution, shaping the future of one of the most trusted crypto trading platforms globally.

With over 20 million users across 180+ international markets, OKX stands as a leader in the crypto space—known for its speed, reliability, and cutting-edge approach to digital asset trading. The Singapore office serves as a strategic Product and Engineering hub, driving core platform development and scaling solutions for millions of daily active users. This is where design isn’t just about aesthetics—it's about solving real user problems at scale.

Your Role: Shaping the Future of Crypto UX

As a fresh graduate entering the tech industry, this role offers a rare opportunity to work on high-impact products from day one. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams—including Product Management, Engineering, and Research—to turn abstract ideas into tangible, user-centered experiences.

Key Responsibilities

Understand User Needs & Business Goals

You’ll start by diving deep into both user behavior and strategic business objectives. Whether it’s interpreting high-level directives from leadership or conducting preliminary research, your job is to translate broad initiatives into clear, actionable product plans. This means asking the right questions, identifying pain points, and aligning design efforts with measurable outcomes.

Drive Product Roadmaps

Ownership is key. You’ll help define product roadmaps—outlining what features to build, why they matter, and when they should launch. More importantly, you’ll work to secure alignment across stakeholders, ensuring everyone from engineers to executives shares a common vision and timeline.

“Great design doesn’t exist in isolation—it thrives on collaboration and clarity.”

By fostering open communication and setting realistic expectations, you ensure smooth delivery without compromising quality.

Craft Intuitive User Experiences

From concept to execution, you’ll create wireframes, map out user journeys, and design detailed user flows. These tools aren’t just for internal use—they’re essential for communicating complex interaction patterns to non-designers. Your ability to visualize the user experience will directly influence how features are built and adopted.

Collaborate Across Disciplines

Innovation happens at the intersection. You’ll partner with product managers to refine requirements and with engineers to ensure technical feasibility. Your input will help shape not only what gets built but how it’s built—balancing usability, performance, and scalability.

Champion Design Systems

Consistency equals trust. As part of a growing design team, you’ll contribute to—and help evolve—the company’s design system. This includes establishing UI components, interaction patterns, accessibility standards, and best practices that ensure a cohesive experience across all touchpoints.

What We’re Looking For

This role is tailored for new graduates who are passionate about design, curious about technology, and eager to make an impact in the Web3 space.

Educational Background

A bachelor’s degree in User Experience Design, Interaction Design, or a related field with a strong focus on UI/UX principles is required. Coursework or projects demonstrating human-centered design thinking will strengthen your application.

Design Methodology Expertise

Familiarity with Scenario-Based Design and Goal-Directed Design is essential. These frameworks help anticipate user behaviors and motivations—critical when designing for diverse global audiences with varying levels of crypto literacy.

You should also be proficient in industry-standard prototyping tools such as Figma and Sketch. Experience creating interactive prototypes, design specs, and handoff documentation is highly valued.

Global UX Sensibility

OKX serves users worldwide—from seasoned traders in Europe to first-time investors in Southeast Asia. A deep understanding of international user habits, cultural nuances in digital interaction, and aesthetic preferences across regions will set you apart.

This includes awareness of localization challenges: color symbolism, reading direction, iconography interpretation, and mobile-first behaviors in emerging markets.

Communication & Collaboration

Fluency in English is mandatory—both written and verbal. You’ll need to articulate design decisions clearly, present concepts confidently, and incorporate feedback constructively. Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset are non-negotiable in our agile environment.

We value lifelong learners—those who seek feedback, stay updated on design trends, and aren’t afraid to challenge assumptions.

Portfolio Requirement

All candidates must submit a portfolio showcasing previous UI/UX work. This can include academic projects, internships, personal experiments, or open-source contributions.
